Workshops and Events

In collaboration with EOPS, MESA, and STEM, TRIO provides workshops to give students opportunities to overcome many academic and personal obstacles. Topics range from Setting Academic Goals to Overcoming Test Anxiety.

Workshops

TRIO has a number of online workshop opportunities in the ACCESS Angel Group. In addition to the Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop and the New Student Orientation, there are more than 20 online workshops related to Financial Literacy, Academic & Career Exploration, Personal Management, Reading & Writing Strategies, and Learning to Learn. Here you will also find other useful information and a place to ask questions or share resources with your fellow students.

* The "Mission College ACCESS Orientation Group" and these workshops are ONLY available to registered TRIO students. If you are an enrolled TRIO student and cannot locate the Angel ACCESS Group, please tell a TRIO staff member. If you are not a TRIO member, please go to the Application page to see if you qualify.

Campus Events

Campus clubs and activities offer opportunities to increase your involvement in education- whether it's to engage in your community or just meet new people. The links below are your guide to finding out what's happening throughout the semester.

CATS (Community Access Ticket Services)

As a TRIO student, you will be invited to events all across the Bay Area such as aquarium and museum visits, plays, sporting events, concerts, and other offerings. The tickets are provided to TRIO students and their immediate families FREE OF CHARGE so that you and your family can enjoy educational cultural events.

When you are accepted into the TRIO Program, you will be emailed a Student Ticket Agreement and the rules for participating in CATS Events.

Please check your emails frequently for events announcements. CATS announcements are often received with VERY SHORT NOTICE. Don't miss out by missing short deadlines!
