Daniela Azuela goes by she/her/ella pronouns. Ella también hablaI español. Born in San Jose, Daniela moved to Leon Guanajuato, Mexico, when she was 10 years old. After six years, she returned to San Jose, where she graduated from Del Mar High School. A proud daughter of immigrants, she is also the first one in her family to attend college.

In her own words, "Being part of your personal and academic journey is the best part of my job! I enjoy getting to know what your hopes and dreams are, and together, we can create an educational plan that includes your interests and values. I hope to provide you with the support and resources you need to achieve your personal, education and career aspirations.

Take advantage of every opportunity and ask questions! There is a saying in Spanish, 'preguntando se llega a Roma.' In other words, 'you get to Rome by asking questions.' I live by this dicho, and sometimes you won't know what you don't know, and that's ok! That's why we're here.

There are so many opportunities and resources you have access to and it is my job to share those with you."
