What is Guided Pathways?
Guided Pathways is a national framework to redesign community colleges published in the book Redesigning America's Community Colleges (Bailey, Smith, Jenkins).
What is Mission College doing with Guided Pathways?
All California Community College have received funding through the CCC State Chancellor's Office to support student success. Since 2017, Mission has had committees and projects related to improving the student experience.
As of 2021, Mission College has moved from a steering committee to a Co-Lead and Project model. For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Guided Pathways Co-Leads will facilitate 7 projects:
- Early Alert Redesign (continuing from 2020-2021)
- Program Mapping (continuing from 2019-2020)
- Orientation Redesign & Requiring Orientation (new)
- First Year Experience (new)
- 30-45 Unit Audit (new)
- Capstone/Transfer Pathway & Transition (new)
How can I get involved?
Project teams and Guided Pathways Student Leaders (GPSL) have been selected for the Fall 2021 term. If you are interested in joining a group, please contact one of the leads.
